About Infuse your space with this striking vintage Italian mixed-metal box. Crafted in Italy in the 1970s, this piece perfectly embodies the high-contrast, geometric aesthetic of the era. The box features a sculptural, gently domed lid expertly inlaid with a checkerboard pattern of alternating brushed brass and rich, dark rosewood panels. The warm, natural grain of the wood plays beautifully off the reflective metallic tones of the brass. Opening the lid reveals an all-wood rosewood interior. An incredible, high-texture styling piece that adds a bold graphic element to a coffee table, desk, or bedside vanity.
Dimensions 6”L x 4”W x 2”H
Condition This piece is in great vintage condition. The interior wood is clean, and the lid opens smoothly. The exterior brass panels show light, age-appropriate wear and a gorgeous soft patina that underscores its authentic mid-century character.
